Everything Will Swallow You: From the Sunday Times-Bestselling Author by Tom Cox

Beautiful and at times heart-achey story packed with nostalgia, grief, longing and glimpses of lost worlds and long gone ways of ordinary life. Also snippets of strangeness here and there – witches, powers, visions, creatures not like us and yet ever-so human really. It reminded me a lot of M John Harrison’s The End of Everything, except in this case it’s all a bit more uplifting.
